Our Services

Our services cover BSL Advocacy for the empowerment of deaf people, BSL Advice & Information Centre, training opportunities, health & wellbeing workshops, topical presentations and access to employment advice.

Additionally, we focus on deaf rights, inequality and improving the mental health, wellbeing and quality of life for BSL Users.

We have established strong connections with service providers and outside organisations. Our aim is to remove communication barriers faced daily by deaf BSL Users and for services to be more accessible. British Sign Language interpreters play an important role in the deaf community as they are needed to aid communication.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

We hold Health and Wellbeing workshops including Women’s Health workshops and BSL Cancer Awareness. For more details and dates see our Groups and Clubs page.

BSL ADVICE CENTRE

We have a BSL Advice Centre where we provide information, demonstrations and expert advice. We welcome people with any form of hearing loss as well as families, friends and professionals working in this field.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Our training is fully accessible to deaf, hard of hearing and hearing communities. Whatever your communication or development needs, we’re here to design training that works for you.

Linking with local hearing community groups is something we are developing as loneliness, isolation, exclusion and rejection is experienced by the majority of deaf BSL Users, mainly due to our hearing disability and language barrier.  We look forward to bridging this gap by joining in and experiencing the sense and enjoyment of community spirit.
